Hey everyone,
I hope this finds everyone in good health! Its been a while since I last updated this blog. But I was afraid to write because I'd want to tell everyone that I was pregnant. And I didn't want to spill the beans just yet. So, I'M PREGNANT!
I found out I was pregnant the day after Brian had left on his deployment. I was late but figured that it was the stress of Brian leaving. I had a pregnancy test sitting underneath my sink and figured why not take it. Won't be using it for 4 months, and I'm not sure how long those things are good for. I went about my business after taking the test. I got my cup of coffee, came into the computer room and started checking my E-mail. My normal morning routine. As I got up to get another cup, I remembered that I left the test. It was a good 5-6 minutes. I went into the bathroom, really just to throw it away. I KNEW it was going to be negative. Brian was only home for 3 months. Noone gets pregnant that fast. I looked down to pick it up and realized it was positive. I almost threw up. I wasn't sure what to do, I was in a complete state of shock. I called my friend who lives down the road (she has two children) and said, "What do I do?? Should I go get more tests??" She said that it was pointless. If it came out positive, it was positive. It took me a week before I could tell Brian because we was still traveling and getting settled in, in Afghanistan. I finally got to tell him and he got really excited.
Its been a crazy time for me since I found out I was expecting. I didn't want to tell many people because I was so early. I didn't want to get hopes up, especially my own. I went to my doctors, and it all started. I am now 12 weeks along. I am past the whole sickness part, mostly. It still happens everyone now and again. Right now I'm in this whole emotional state. I cry and EVERYTHING. I burnt my breakfast last week and I started to cry. I bump into something and I cry. I walk into the kitchen, and when I realize I have NO IDEA why I walked into the kitchen I start to cry. Its been very weird. Definitely not easy being pregnant when no one is around to take care of you! Which is why, me and the girls are going on a road trip. My cousin Sara (Bean) is flying down here, and the 4 of us are heading to DE. I should be home about a month or so. It'll be good to be around people when I'm feeling down. Don't get me wrong, my friends have been great. BUT, they can only do so much before you need something more. Since I can't have the husband (for now) then I'll settle for the family. hehe J/k.
I'm excited at the fact that I'll soon be a mother, but then it freaks me out too! I think about what kind of Mom I'll be. What kind of Dad Brian will be. I know Brian will be great, and if I can be even just a little like my parents were for me, then I think I'll be good. I just hope I have a kick ass, healthy kid! :) hehe.
Well keep everyone updated on the pregnancy as I go along. Will post pictures too!
Hope everyone is doing well!

The beginning of our New Year
Hey everyone!
What a month its been!! I hope everyone had a fantastic New Years. Ours was fun. Brian and I really had all intentions on staying in this year, UNTIL I got sick on our honeymoon. NowI have this fabulous dress that I wanted to wear really bad. SO, we ended up going out with some friends in town. It was probably the most redneck bar I have ever been too. And we were completely dressed up. But we had a good time. So good that we didn't get out of bed New Years Day until 5pm. That's probably the last time we're going to party that hard. We completely wasted the nice day!
This month we have been pretty busy getting Brian ready for his deployment. He was scheduled to leave on Saturday. Then they called and bumped him to Sunday. I dropped him off at 1230 on Sunday and then I get a phone call at 12am Monday to please come pick him up on base. So him and the young airmen that he was taking over with him came back to the house and then we got back up Monday morning and I drove them back to base at 1230. This time he got off okay! I got an E-mail from him today saying he made it to Afghanistan. So...only 130 more days to go!! :) I asked him if he wanted me to write anything on our blog and he says: "Tell everyone who called, I said thanks and talk to you in 4 months." Short and sweet! haha
Decided, now that he's gone, I want to do some things that will keep me outta trouble. hehe. So I've been looking at taking a knitting and quiltting class. I've ALWAYS wanted to know how for when me or friends start to have babies. Also came up with some cool things to do with the friends. We thought about having a clothing exchange which would be kinda cool. Also a world cuisine night. We pick a country and make a dish for dinner. I thought that would be soo fun. Also game night. I've got to perfect my game of Scrabble because Brian always wipes the floor with me.
I dyed me hair the other day. Just a little bit darker. I like it. One of my best friends' daughter had gotten herself a new do and she donated her hair to locks of love. And she pretty much inspired me, so I am hoping that by the end of the summer my hair will be long enough to donate. If I cut 10 inches right now it would be to my ears, so I have to grow it a little more. Hopefully it will be long enough by the end of summer. Anyway I will put up a picture when I get one (not fond of taking my own picture, YEAH RIGHT).
Well that's pretty much it for me right now. Once I talk to Brian I will write again and give you guys an update on life in Afghanistan!
Much love to you all. Pics are from NYE and the weekend he left!

The start of our blog

Hi friends.
So I've decided to start a blog for us. Yet another thing for me to keep updated. But since most people don't have Myspace or Facebook, I figured, why not!?!
I will use this blog to keep videos of what we've been up to, as well as photos. Sounds fun, huh? I figure once we have kids it will be used a lot more.
Today is Christmas, 2008. Santa was good to Brian and I. I got some perfume and movies (my fav) and Brian got some work out clothes, movies, slippers (which are a tad bit too small) and mix to make his favorite Starbucks drink. Lucky him!
As for our presents to eachother (wink wink) we got a new cocktail table, side table and sofa table. Merry Christmas! Our house is complete (with the furniture anyway).
The dogs got their usual toys and treats. Maybe next Christmas they'll get a sibling.
Brian and I were thinking that when he comes home we can start trying to have a family. Since he'll be home for a while. Well, unless a new war breaks out! HOPE NOT! We will see what happens!
Well, that's it for now. It is, after all, Christmas. I must to and start preparing my yummy Christmas dinner!
Take care, all!
